With the current difficult situation as it is regarding Coronavirus, all of our meeting together is of course not able to happen in person. However, we continue to ‘meet’ virtually in creative ways to pray and worship and to be Church family together in a different form for this different and challenging time.
We are evolving daily how we do this so please bear with us and you are most welcome to join in with us. If you would simply love just to be on WhatsApp to chat together then get in touch and we’ll add you on.
Please do pray with us as we all care for each other and those around us in our community. Pray also for our country and our town; we as a Church with the Abbey are praying the Lord’s Prayer each day in our own homes or at work at 12noon if you would like to join us in doing so.
Rev’d Ed Sauven alongside an ever-expanding team for ‘Tewkesbury Community Network’ is about to launch a town-wide volunteer support network to enable us to care for each other and meet needs as they continue to arise.
Priors Park Network is already up and running and Mike Paganini can be contacted on 07732 352558. Please pray with us for this initiative and for all those involved.
Some prayers to join in with and the Lord’s Prayer
Loving Lord Jesus
We thank you that you love us with an unending love.
We give thanks for all those who are involved and yet to be, with
the Tewkesbury Community Network.
Bless this initiative and keep your hand of safety over everyone
that we can hold and serve our community through the love
you have placed in our hearts.
We pray for our nation and our communities
at this time of great challenge.
Give skill, sympathy and resilience to all who
are caring for the sick.
May they know your protection
and loving arms around them.
Strengthen us to love our neighbour as you teach us to
and to care for those in need.
Give us courage and generous hearts of love
for you are our fortress and our rock.
Keep us under the shadow of your wings
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are struggling;
that we may be held by your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
